Excitement....

There is so much excitement in my soul right now! We have officially decided to adopt a baby from Ethiopia. The past year and a half have been very difficult slash dissappointing, but I am feeling hope and peace right now. I am thankful...peace is good. ahh...I just want to rest in this peace I feel.I am so eager to get the process started. I am so excited to see our future Ethiopian baby. I feel so excited that we get to adopt! I know not everyone has this in their heart and I am grateful that we have it in ours!
Josh and a friend received a word at a leadership retreat with our church this past weekend. The word went something like this....You have been climbing up a mountain for awhile now....You have not been able to see anything except the mountain in front of you. But you are reaching the top of the mountain and you need to fly. You need to take the leap and trust that it will be good.That is pretty accurate I think...I might need to confirm that with Josh. But, I was so excited when he shared that with me! I feel like that totally has been us for the past few. I feel like we are going to take the leap and that the bigger picture is going to be revealed!
So...the process goes as follows.....We have sent in our information to the adoption agency, Gladney. They will call to schedule a phone interview with us. After this we begin the paperwork....the worker estimated between 2-3 months. We send the dossier to Ethiopia and should receive a referral within 1-3 months. Upon accepting the referral, we plan our trip over!
